How To Use Friend Time

How we use the Friend Time bot so we better understand when things are happening in our time zone.

BodyDoubling is a global community, and therefore people can post in Discord from any time zone. To clarify which time is meant, we can use the Friend Time bot. Here is a brief rundown of how to set it up (it does not work automatically but its setup is painless so it is recommended).
All that is needed to set it up is to run the command

/set me

(this is best run in the #bots channel to avoid spamming the other channels). 

It will then ask you ‘What is your time zone?’

It expects an answer as found on this site

some examples are America/New York or Europe/London.

It will then as you to confirm (yes or no) as seen in this screenshot:

And that is it! Now you are ready to use the bot. 

What it does: When a user who has been set up w/this bot mentions a time in a chat such as #body-doubling-chat then the bot reacts with a clock emoji. If you click this emoji the bot will then send you a direct message in Discord telling you what the time mentioned is in your time zone!
